OVERVIEW
I Trulli is set in two hectares of almond trees and olive groves as well as fig, pomegranate, mulberry, prickly pear, apple, pear, citrus, plum and walnut trees, creating a peaceful oasis. There is a beautiful infinity swimming pool in cobalt blue mosaic, surrounded by a terrace with lot of sun loungers and several shaded spaces furnished with walled benches. The villa has an outdoor dining pergola with a large table and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen.
This villa can sleep up to 8 guests in 4 bedrooms, and the decor is simple yet elegant. The cone shaped buildings are called trulli and used to be lived in by farmers. These have been brought up to date with high quality modern furniture and a neutral color palette. There is an open-plan living area with a comfortable double sofa and fireplace, leading on to a further area which houses the fully-equipped kitchen. This stylish living room also has a flat screen television and an a dining area. The sleeping area is composed of a double bedroom with French doors onto an intimate courtyard furnished with benches and parasol and a twin, sharing a green mosaic bathroom. Then another double bedroom with a separate bathroom and direct access onto the pool area.
In a separate space, with independent entrance, there is a further double with bathroom, a small living and a kitchenette ideal for those who prefer to keep some privacy.
This villa is located close to one of the loveliest towns in Puglia, Ceglie Messapica. This small town is a gem in the heart of Salento (Italy's heel) and is the perfect base for exploring the nature and culture of Puglia. The white town of Ostuni, the breathtaking cliffs at Polignano al Mare and the crystal clear waters of San Pietro in Bevagna are all within easy driving distance of these trulli. The trulli themselves are traditional stone structures with a characteristic dome shape, dotted across the rolling landscape of southern Italy. At an hour’s drive from the property you will find Lecce, the sun-kissed Baroque capital of the South. Here you can spend the morning exploring the stunning cathedral, city center and ancient walls, before heading out to one of the lovely beaches that line this stretch of coastline.
