OVERVIEW

Located a short 20-minute drive from the Brindisi airport and 15 kilometers from the pristine white sandy beaches of the Adriatic, this newly-built villa blends traditions and modern luxuries. Encircled by farms and vineyards, the villa is nestled within a maquis shrub land as well as olive, pomegranate, pear and fig trees. It’s the ideal place to switch off, relax and savor the serene ambiance of sunny Salento, one of the most authentic corners of Italy.

A modern take on traditional masseria architecture, the villa features soaring exposed stone vaults, very typical of the area. Within this pure, airy space are minimalistic contemporary furnishings and chic design items. The large open-space living area includes a sitting area, round designer dining table and a kitchen equipped with the latest top quality appliances. Glass doors lead directly onto the outdoor dining terrace.

The villa’s spacious two bedrooms are found on either side of the main room. They feature fine linens in whites and beiges and have window-doors leading outside. Each has a en suite bathroom with extra-large rain showers and plush amenities.

The outdoor terrace next to the villa also includes large stone vaults overhead which keeps it cool from the sun. Here you’ll find a table seating six as well as a sitting area. Beyond this is the open-air pool terrace. At the centre of this is the heated pool with mosaic tiles and a hydro massage. It is surrounded by sun beds and at the far end is a bar, made of Carrara and Maquina marble, next to which is a huge couch, tables and umbrellas. The ambiance is particularly alluring at night when you can enjoy a cocktail with the atmospheric lighting and to the sound of the singing cicadas.

Your time at the villa can be complemented with easy excursions around the area. The surrounding countryside is dotted with abandoned trulli, traditional apulian stone dwellings with conical roofs, which are classified as UNESCO World Heritage. Nearby are farms to pick up exceptional local products and villages for wandering, such as Ceglie Messapica, one of the loveliest towns in Puglia. The white town of Ostuni, the cliffs at Polignano al Mare and the Baroque city of Lecce, are also worth a visit. For a day at the beach, a short drive will take you to San Pietro in Bevagna.

For a hassle-free holiday, a chef is available on request as well as a wide range of other exclusive services.
